Sheldon Creed Scores Podium Finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Haas Factory Team Driver Battles Cup Stars Larson and Briscoe for Podium Finish
LAS VEGAS, NV — Sheldon Creed continued his strong start to the season Saturday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, driving the No. 00 Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Chevrolet for Haas Factory Team to a third-place finish in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race.
Creed qualified third and remained a factor at the front of the field throughout the evening, racing door-to-door with some of NASCAR’s biggest names. When the checkered flag flew, Creed crossed the line third, finishing behind NASCAR Cup Series regulars Kyle Larson, who captured the win, and Chase Briscoe, who finished second.
The podium finish capped off a productive night for Creed and the Haas Factory Team, as the California native also collected valuable championship points during the race stages with a fifth-place finish in Stage One and sixth-place finish in Stage Two.
The strong performance keeps Creed firmly in the championship hunt as he currently sits 4th in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series points standings.
“We had a really solid No. 00 Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Chevrolet all night,” Creed said following the race. “Starting up front helped us stay in the mix, and the team did a great job keeping the car competitive throughout the race. Racing against guys like Kyle Larson and Chase Briscoe is always tough, but it shows the level our team is operating at right now. I’m proud of the effort from everyone at Haas Factory Team.”
Creed now turns his attention to Darlington Raceway, one of the most historic and demanding tracks on the NASCAR schedule. Known as “The Track Too Tough to Tame,” Darlington has long been a favorite among drivers who enjoy the challenge of tire management and precision racing.
With momentum building and valuable points added to the championship tally, Creed and the Haas Factory Team look to carry their Las Vegas success into the upcoming race weekend.
