Sheldon Creed Charges to Top-10 Finish at Darlington Raceway
DARLINGTON, S.C. (March 21, 2026) — Sheldon Creed and the Haas Factory Team delivered a strong rebound performance in Saturday’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help a Hero 200 at Darlington Raceway, overcoming early challenges to secure a 7th-place finish in the No. 00 Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Chevrolet.
Creed rolled off 13th in the highly competitive field and battled a tight-handling race car in the opening stage, finishing 23rd in Stage 1 as the team worked to dial in the setup on the demanding 1.366-mile “Lady in Black.”
As the race progressed, the Haas Factory Team made key adjustments that brought the No. 00 Chevrolet to life. Creed responded by climbing through the field, improving to 11th in Stage 2 while continuing to gain valuable track position.
In the final stage, Creed showcased his trademark consistency and racecraft, methodically working his way into the top 10 and ultimately crossing the line in 7th place—a strong result at one of NASCAR’s most challenging tracks.
With the result, Creed now sits 4th in NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship points, continuing to build momentum as the season progresses.
The Haas Factory Team now turns its focus to Martinsville Speedway, where short-track execution will be key in the next round of competition.
