Creed Charges to Top-Five Finish at Martinsville, Climbs to Third in Points Edit

MARTINSVILLE, VA. (March 29, 2026) — Sheldon Creed continued his strong 2026 campaign with an impressive fourth-place finish in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Martinsville Speedway.

Driving the No. 00 Haas Factory Team Chevrolet sponsored by Road Ranger, Creed qualified 6th and immediately established himself as a contender on the tight half-mile oval.

Creed maintained strong track position throughout the opening stage, finishing 5th and collecting valuable stage points. As the race progressed and strategy began to shuffle the field, Creed crossed the line 17th at the end of Stage 2 but remained focused on long-run track position.

A major incident on Lap 234—triggered when Lee Pulliam missed a shift on a restart—collected 19 cars and brought out a red flag. Creed avoided the chaos and capitalized in the closing laps, methodically working his way back toward the front.

When it mattered most, Creed delivered—bringing home a fourth-place finish and securing his third top-five result of the 2026 season.

“Martinsville is all about staying in it all day,” said Creed. “Our Road Ranger Chevrolet was fast, and the team kept making adjustments to keep us in the fight. Track position is everything here, and we were able to be there at the end. Proud of this group for another strong run.”

With the result, Creed now sits third in the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship standings, continuing to build momentum early in the season following his breakthrough victory earlier this year.
