Sheldon Creed Continues Strong Start to Season with Sixth-Place Finish at Bristol

BRISTOL, TENN. (April 12, 2026) — Sheldon Creed continued his impressive 2026 campaign with another strong performance Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway, bringing home a sixth-place finish in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event.

Driving the No. 00 Ollie’s Chevrolet for the Haas Factory Team, Creed showed speed from the moment the weekend began. He qualified second, narrowly missing the pole by just 0.04 seconds, setting the tone for what would be a competitive night.

Creed wasted no time establishing himself as a contender, running inside the top five for the majority of the race and finding speed in Bristol’s demanding high groove — a line that proved critical as the track evolved throughout the event.

His consistency paid off in the early stages, finishing second in both Stage One and Stage Two, collecting valuable stage points and continuing to build momentum in the championship standings.

Despite fading slightly in the closing laps, Creed maintained track position and crossed the line in sixth place, securing his seventh top-10 finish, fourth top-five result, and adding to his win earlier this season — all within the first nine races.

“We had a really strong No. 00 Ollie’s Chevrolet all night,” Creed said. “Starting up front and getting those stage points was big for us. I felt like we were right there with the leaders, especially running the top. Just needed a little more at the end to stay in that top-five, but overall it’s a solid night for this team.”

The result further reinforces Creed’s consistency as one of the top performers in the series. He now sits second in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship standings, continuing to position himself as a serious title contender.

How does Dash 4 Cash work?

Before the four-race stretch begins, a qualifying race determines the participants in the first official Dash 4 Cash bout. The four highest-finishing series regulars in the O’Reilly race at Rockingham qualify for the first Dash 4 Cash race at Bristol. The highest finisher of that quartet at Bristol collects a $100,000 prize and automatically qualifies for the next Dash 4 Cash race. The next three highest-finishing O’Reilly Series regulars in the race at Bristol also qualify to participate in the next Dash 4 Cash race at Kansas, with another $100,000 on the line. These rules repeat for subsequent Dash 4 Cash races. Dash 4 Cash continues on to include Talladega Superspeedway (April 25)  and Texas Motor Speedway (May 2)
