Creed Scores Third at Talladega, Wins Second Straight Dash 4 Cash Bonus

TALLADEGA, Ala. — Sheldon Creed delivered another strong performance Saturday in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, bringing home a third-place finish and claiming the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash bonus for the second consecutive week.

Creed started fifth in the No. 00 Ollie’s Haas Factory Team Chevrolet and quickly established himself as one of the strongest contenders in the field. He finished third in Stage 1, added more valuable stage points, and stayed in position throughout a fast-paced Talladega race that featured 38 lead changes — the most at the track since 2013.

With five laps remaining, Creed moved into the lead and appeared to be in position to fight for the win. However, a last-lap caution froze the field before he could make one final move, scoring him third behind race winner Corey Day and runner-up Brent Crews.

“Hard to be too mad at third here when so much happens and very easily could have been in one of those crashes at the end,” Creed said. “Getting to take home the Dash 4 Cash is really special and thank the guys in the shop for that.”

The result marked another major points day for Creed, who earned 50 points at Talladega and now sits second in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series championship standings as the series heads to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. Creed will also remain eligible for the next $100,000 Dash 4 Cash award alongside Corey Day, Brent Crews and Sammy Smith.

For Creed and the No. 00 Haas Factory Team, Talladega was another example of speed, execution and survival at one of NASCAR’s most unpredictable tracks. With Ollie’s on board the Chevrolet, Creed avoided late-race chaos, cashed another Dash 4 Cash bonus, and continued building momentum in the championship battle.
