SHELDON CREED RALLIES FOR SIXTH AT MARTINSVILLE, KEEPS TITLE HOPES ALIVE

Haas Factory Team Driver Scores 22nd Top-10 Finish, Sets Sights on Homestead Finale

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (November 1, 2026) — Sheldon Creed rallied to a sixth-place finish in Saturday’s National Debt Relief 250 at Martinsville Speedway, keeping his championship hopes alive heading into the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season finale. Driving the No. 00 Ollie’s Chevrolet for Haas Factory Team, Creed earned points in both stages and climbed back through the field during the closing laps to finish among the leaders.

Creed started seventh and quickly worked his way toward the front. Staying out through early cautions helped him gain track position, and he finished the opening stage second behind Justin Allgaier, collecting nine stage points.

After the team made adjustments to improve the Ollie’s Chevrolet’s drive off the corners, Creed began Stage 2 in 18th. He gained seven positions on a later restart and finished the stage eighth, adding three more points to bring his stage total to 12.

In a race interrupted by 12 cautions, Creed continued working to regain track position. Running 13th with 70 laps remaining, he returned to the top 10 before the final 50 laps and continued moving forward. With 10 laps to go, he reached sixth and held that position through the checkered flag, finishing directly behind teammate Sam Mayer.

Creed completed all 250 laps and earned 43 points for the afternoon, bringing his season total to 2,394.

Carson Kvapil won the race, while Allgaier’s runner-up finish moved him into the championship lead. Creed heads to Homestead fifth in the standings, 42 points behind Allgaier and 11 behind fourth-place Kvapil. Although Kvapil moved ahead of him in the standings, Creed reduced his deficit to the championship lead from 50 points to 42.

With three victories, 14 top-five finishes and 22 top-10 results through 32 starts, Creed and crew chief Jonathan Toney now turn their attention to Homestead-Miami Speedway. One race remains, and the No. 00 Ollie’s team will look to make the most of every stage and every position in its pursuit of the championship.
