Sheldon Creed Extends Top-10 Streak with Strong Sixth-Place Finish at Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas (May 2, 2026) — Sheldon Creed continued his championship push in the Andy’s Frozen Custard 340 at Texas Motor Speedway, driving the No. 00 Road Ranger Chevrolet to a sixth-place finish in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series.

Riding a wave of momentum with eight consecutive top-10 finishes entering the weekend—including back-to-back Dash 4 Cash bonuses—Creed qualified 11th and immediately went to work carving through the field.

Following two early cautions, Creed quickly positioned himself inside the top five, battling with Brent Crews while maintaining strong pace. He held his ground through the closing laps of Stage 1, crossing the line sixth to collect valuable stage points.

In Stage 2, the driver of the Haas Factory Team Chevrolet continued to showcase consistency during a long green-flag run. Despite losing a few positions in traffic, Creed kept himself within striking distance. A caution on lap 67 reset the field, allowing the team to make key adjustments before finishing ninth in the stage and adding more points to the tally.

Restarting 11th for the final stage, Creed methodically worked his way back into the top 10 during the green-flag cycle. A well-executed pit stop under caution on lap 178 gained additional track position, and a strong restart pushed him forward once again.

In the closing laps, Creed made a decisive move around Brandon Jones to break into the top five before ultimately crossing the line sixth.

The result marks Creed’s career-best ninth consecutive top-10 finish, further solidifying his position as one of the most consistent drivers in the series. He now sits second in the championship standings as the 2026 season gains momentum.

“We’ve built a lot of momentum as a team, and this was another solid day for us. We’re putting ourselves in position every week, and that’s what it takes to be there at the end of the season,” said Creed
