SHELDON CREED SCORES TOP-FIVE FINISH AT MARTINSVILLE, SETS SIGHTS ON SEASON FINALE AT PHOENIX
RIDGEWAY, VA (October 26, 2025) — Sheldon Creed and the No. 00 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Ford Mustang closed out the NASCAR Xfinity Series Round of 8 with an impressive fourth-place finish Saturday night at Martinsville Speedway.
Creed entered the race 41 points below the playoff cutline, knowing his only path to the Championship 4 was to win. The Alpine, California native qualified fifth and ran solidly inside the top ten all evening, showcasing both speed and determination in one of the season’s most intense playoff battles.
“We knew coming in that we had to win to move on, and we gave it everything we had,” said Creed. “Our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Ford Mustang was fast all night. I’m proud of the effort everyone put in — we were right there, just needed a little more at the end. Now we’ll head to Phoenix focused on closing the year with a win.”
The fourth-place result marked another strong run for Creed, who has become known for his consistency and resilience throughout his NASCAR Xfinity Series career. He holds a record 15 career runner-up finishes — the most by any driver in series history without a win.
In 2025, Creed delivered eight top-five and 15 top-ten finishes while battling through eight DNFs, a stat that underscores his determination and ability to bounce back week after week.
The Haas Factory Team now turns its attention to Phoenix Raceway, where Creed and crew chief Jonathan Toney aim to end the season in victory lane. The finale also marks the final race with Xfinity serving as the series’ entitlement sponsor, adding extra significance to the event.
“We’ve been close so many times this year,” Creed added. “Phoenix is one of those tracks where we’ve run well before. It’d be huge to get that first Xfinity win for this team and finish the season strong.”
